A Little About Me

Latest update (31 March 2026): I think in our lifetime, we don't realize how the tiniest decisions forge our paths. I looked back on how I used to call this little blog a "study of me" but truly, every time I come back, I realized that I've learned so much. 

Born and raised in Southern California, I often get asked why I would be anywhere other than La La Land. It's not that I don't appreciate the beaches or Disneyland only some miles away but that I believe in the free spirit. I used to be slightly obsessed with identity, to be so proud of my heritage and beliefs. While I can still carry confidence into anything I do, I've been brought to my knees crying before. I've been absolutely humbled thinking I knew it all when I truly lacked perspective. And I'm still experiencing more lessons with each day. Phoebeology has become a name that reminds me to continuously learn.

Inspiration

This blog will feature a few silly poems and sometimes include works of others that appeal to me greatly. I've traveled with privilege and with an open mind, meeting different people and experiencing new cultures as well as embracing my own. I love the concept of unity and I've had the opportunity to capture that into stanzas, photos, and most importantly, memories. I aim to create a comfortable hub for passerby as I wish I've had for the places I've been.
